Using AppealBuddy

By starting a conversation with AppealBuddy, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What AppealBuddy does

AppealBuddy is an AI assistant. It asks about a health coverage denial and drafts an appeal letter from what you tell it. You review the letter and send it to your plan yourself. AppealBuddy does not file appeals, contact your plan or doctor, or represent you.

No guarantee of approval

Your health plan, and any reviewer after it, decides your appeal. We cannot promise that any appeal will be approved or that a denial will be overturned, and nothing AppealBuddy says should be taken as that promise. A clear, specific letter gives you the best chance, but the outcome depends on your plan's rules, your medical records and the reviewer.

Not medical or legal advice

AppealBuddy does not give medical or legal advice and is not a substitute for your doctor, a lawyer, or your State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP). It won't tell you what treatment you should have. For help with your rights, you can contact your SHIP or 1-800-MEDICARE.

Not affiliated with Medicare

AppealBuddy is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for Medicare, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Social Security, or any health plan.

Your part

Payment and refunds

Talking with AppealBuddy is free to try. If we charge for a finished letter, the price will be shown before you pay. If the letter isn't usable, ask and we will refund you.

Limits of our responsibility

AppealBuddy is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the outcome of any appeal, for missed deadlines, or for losses that come from using the service, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the letter in question. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
